conditions of sale
1.caution
check your floor is the correct quality, size and colour as on the invoice, as once you have cut the carpet you are the owner and floors-indoors can not be held responsible for any exchange.
2.floor to be installed
a. rooms must be as clear as possible where the floor are to be installed.
b. if the rooms are not clear, as much care as possible will be taken while moving furniture, but no responsibility will be accepted by floors-indoors for any damage or breakages whatsoever.
c. if no effort has been made by the customer to remove furniture an additional charge may be incurred and your installation slot may be re-arranged.
d. all existing floors must be lifted prior to installation or an additional charge of £1 sq. metre will be charged for floors-indoors to uplift.
e. any wires the customer requests to be fitted under the flooring, e.g. telephone, alarm, etc. (wires with no electric voltage) can be undertaken by the installer, but we stress that whilst the floor is being installed, should any such wires be cut, stapled or nailed etc. although whilst care will be taken for this not to happen, should any wires be damaged floors-indoors will not be held responsible.
f. floors-indoors accept no responsibility for damage caused to pipes, electrical or alarm wired not concealed to British standards.
3.flooring delivery
if you are not in on the day specified for delivery a further charge will be incurred for re-delivery.
4.deposit
a. once a deposit has been left, the condition of balance to be paid will be agreed and written in an invoice as 'method of payment'. if the conditions agreed are not fulfilled the deposit will be lost and the floors resold.
b. once a deposit has been left, this is not refundable unless floors-indoors is unable to supply goods specified on receipt.
5.measurements
it will be specified who measured room(s) to be installed. if the customers dimensions are incorrect, and the floor does not fit room(s) specified floors-indoors floors will not be responsible to exchange floors.
6.colour matching
please note, we are unable to guarantee an exact colour match where different widths of floors are supplied and/or used.
7.shading and pie pressure
all pile carpets, especially plain grounds are liable after they have been in use for some time, to shading, i.e., to show light and dark patches. this is due to uneven pressing of the surface by treading. light and delicately shaded carpets are liable to become soiled with wear and it may appear the colours had faded. both tendencies are inherent in all pile fabrics and we cannot therefore accept any responsibility for complaints arising from either of the causes.
8.sizes
all dimensions are in accordance with British standards 3655 (1974) +/- 1.25% in width and/or length.
9.title
title of goods remain the property floors-indoors until full settlement is received.
10.installation/delivery times
whilst every effort is made to deliver/install goods on time/day specified. THIS IS NOT GUARANTEED and will not accept responsibility to cost made as a consequence of late/early delivery. any information given regarding delivery times or dates are given in good faith, but NOT guaranteed. we will not accept orders subject to any kind on penalty clause.
